Foundations to Water Safety
Building Comfort and Basics:
New swimmers adjust to group dynamics while developing essential water safety skills. Skills Taught: underwater comfort, blowing nose bubbles, inhalation and exhalation, how to safely get in and out of the pool, front float and back float, and rolling onto back from a front float.
Stroke Development
Building Fundamentals that are Designed for Swimmers:
Tailored for students ready to transition from basic safety to active stroke development through more dynamic drills. Skills Taught: streamline kicks on both their stomach and back, freestyle with bilateral breathing, Backstroke, tread water for 1 minute, and jump into the lap pool independently.
Independent Stroke Development
Refining Techniques for Swimmers:
This class is designed for swimmers who have completed Stroke Development and are ready to advance their skills. Skills taught swim 25 meters Freestyle with bilateral breathing, 25 meter Backstroke maintaining lane position, 20 feet Breaststroke kick, kneeling wall dives, and jump off the starting block into the lap pool.
Endurance Prep
Bridge to Non-Competitive Team:
To help swimmers develop strong technique and endurance in all four competitive strokes, our swim lesson program focuses on building foundational skills and confidence in the water. Skills Taught: 50 meters of Freestyle with bilateral breathing, 50 meters of Backstroke maintaining lane position, 25 meters of Breaststroke Kick, standing wall dive and an understanding of the Butterfly kick.
Advanced Endurance
Competitive Team Readiness:
To help swimmers develop strong technique and endurance in all four competitive strokes. These skills requirements ensure that each swimmer is ready to transition into our EMAC competitive swim team. Skills Taught: 100 meters Freestyle, 100 meters Backstroke, 25 meters Breaststroke, and Butterfly.
