Class Cancellation


If EMAC Learn to Swim needs to cancel a class for any reason, we will do our best to assist in scheduling a makeup class or issuing a class credit.

Examples of cancellations may include, but are not limited to:

  • Inclement weather (flooding, snow, thunder and lighting)
  • Pool maintenance issues
  • Sanitary accidents

Please understand that these situations are unpredictable and beyond our control, but we remain committed to supporting our families as best we can.


Instructor Call-Out

If your instructor is unavailable on the day of your lesson, we will provide a qualified substitute instructor to teach the class. Makeups or credits will not be issued in this situation, as an instructor will be present and prepared to deliver your lesson as scheduled. 


Drop Policy


Due to the high demand for our program, families must submit a Drop Request Form within two weeks of the withdrawal request.


A verbal or email withdrawal notification is not valid.

A confirmation email will be sent within 24-48 hours of your submission. Until official submission is received and processed, you will remain financially responsible for tuition, regardless of attendance. 


If payment has already been processed and you choose to withdraw after the month has begun, please note that refunds will not be issued. Instead, a tuition credit will be applied to your account for future use.


We understand that rare exceptions may arise. Refunds for future classes may be issued at the Director’s discretion.


Makeup Policy


All absences must be submitted through the Parent Portal and can be reported up to one hour before the scheduled class time. Please allow 12–24 hours for Jackrabbit to process the absence before attempting to schedule a makeup class.


Phone calls or text messages cannot be accepted to report future absences.

Makeup classes may only be scheduled after the missed class has occurred.


Missed makeup classes cannot be rescheduled.


Makeup classes are available to currently enrolled students only, and families have up to seven (7) days from the missed lesson to schedule a makeup.


For Private Lessons, absences must also be emailed customerservice@emacswim.org.


For Adaptive Lessons, families should contact EMAC’s Outreach Coordinator at outreach@emacswim.org to schedule a makeup lesson.


Extended Medical Cancellations and Absences

We understand that unexpected circumstances—such as extended medical issues can arise.


In these cases, a tuition credit may be issued; however, no refunds will be provided for missed lessons.


For medical absences, a doctor’s note is required.  You submit a Drop Form through your Parent Portal to officially withdraw from lessons.
