Foundations to Water Safety
New swimmers adjust to group lessons and develop the basic skills of floating, underwater comfort, blowing nose bubbles, how to safely get in and out of the pool, rolling onto back and front, elementary backstroke, and 30 seconds treading
Stroke Development
This class is for swimmers who are ready to build on foundational skills. Students will be able to complete streamline kicks on both their stomach and back, have a basic understanding of freestyle with a side breath, tread water for 1 minute, jump into the lap pool independently, kneeling dives, and perform a rescue breath.
Independent Stroke Development
This class is designed for swimmers who have completed Stroke Development and are ready to advance their skills. To complete this class, swimmers must successfully swim 50 meters of both Freestyle and Backstroke, complete 25 meters of Butterfly kick and Breaststroke kick, standing off the wall dives, and confidently jump off the starting block into the lap pool.
Endurance Prep
To help swimmers develop strong technique and endurance in all four competitive strokes, our swim lesson program focuses on building foundational skills and confidence in the water. To complete the program and transition into our Bee-Fit Non-competitiveTeam at EMAC Swim Team, swimmers must successfully swim 100 meters of Freestyle, 100 meters of Backstroke, 25 meters of Breaststroke, and 25 meters of Butterfly.
Advanced Endurance
To help swimmers develop strong technique and endurance in all four competitive strokes. To complete the program, swimmers must be able to swim a legal 100 meters of Freestyle, 100 meters of Backstroke, 25 meters of Breaststroke, and 25 meters of Butterfly. These skill requirements ensure that each swimmer is ready to transition into our EMAC Competitive Swim Team.
